All students currently in the 6th, 7th or 8th grades are invited to attend a fall Digital Photography Workshop! Our theme is “Transfer It!” We will be using digital photography and graphic design techniques to create photographs and experiment with image transfers. The best photographs and transfers will be chosen to enter into our regional Scholastic Art Competition. We will meet three times in the art room. The workshop is open to the the first 30 students who register. Forms are available in the art room or in the student newsletter.

Cost: $75. Fee includes materials, snacks and instruction for the week.

March is Youth Art Month and we are celebrating with an Art Contest! Winners will be chosen each Friday in March. All entries will be sent to the Students Rebuild Ocean Challenge. Students Rebuild will make a donation to ocean conservation.
Use the ocean as your inspiration to create an artwork.
Use any art materials.
Artwork must be smaller than 9” x 12” and can be 2-D or 3-D.
Ideas: drawing, painting, origami paper sculpture
Put your name, grade and homeroom teacher’s name on your artwork.
Give your entry to your art teacher by Thursday, March 28.
You may enter more than once.
Congratulations to the 2019 Scholastic Art Award Winners! The Scholastic Art Competition strives to recognize students in junior high and high school for their incredible gifts in the Visual Arts. This year, our region, Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky, received over 4000 works of art. Our Lady of the Visitation had 21 winners this year! The Gold Key winners are: Noah H. and Lena B. The Silver Key winners are: Gretchen H., Jenna K., Kelli S., Leah K., Lena B., and Lincoln Z. The Honorable Mention winners are: Allison B., Andrew C., Elise L., Elizabeth J., Gretchen H., Jenna W., Joey J., Lydia R., Stephanie H., Tara H. (x2), Taylor V., and Zach M.

After School Clay Snowman Workshop
An After-School Clay Snowman Art Workshop will be offered in November for all students in grades K-8. Please choose from one of these dates:

Friday, November 30, 3:00-4:30 p.m.
Cost: $10, includes all art supplies and snack/drink.

Our new Kindergarten classes are enjoying Art this year! They are working on a project inspired by the book The Dot by Peter H. Reynolds. Students drew dots and lines on their paper and then painted with watercolor paint.
